On Friday, May 9, 2014, Johnson & Wales University will participate in an Emergency Response Exercise being conducted to test coordination between the Providence Campus and response agencies from the City of Providence and the State of Rhode Island.
The major component of the exercise, scheduled to begin at approximately 9 a.m., will take place at The Wildcat Center at the Harborside Campus. Students who live on the Harborside Campus - as well as our neighbors and nearby businesses - will see a significant level of activity, including many response vehicles (police, fire, rescue) entering and leaving the campus.
THIS IS JUST A DRILL.
All classes, activities and events for May 9 will be held as scheduled. JWU bus transportation to and from the Harborside Campus will operate on its normal schedule.
Questions regarding the May 9 exercise may be directed to Christopher Harwood, director of Emergency Management at JWU, 401-598-2668, or JWU Campus Safety & Security at 401-598-1103.
