    JWU's Summer 2013 orientation programs run for 3 days. This calendar subject to change.

    Day 1

    12–2pm Meet your Orientation Leaders!
    Get your Wildcat card (student ID), check into your residence hall and sign-up for a campus tour.
    1–4:30pm Financial Appointments Student Academic & Financial Services
    Ongoing appointments.
    1–4pm Student Academic Assessment Computer Lab 106
    Placement tests give us info about your skills, so you can begin your studies in appropriate level Math/English classes. Last test begins at 3pm.
    2pm Optional Campus Tours Wildcat Center

    For students. Meet new friends as your orientation leaders take you on a journey

    For students. Get the 411 as your orientation leaders give you the real deal.

    Living the JWU (Residential) Life ASC 302/304
    Will you be living in JWU housing? Learn to navigate through residence hall living. Get information on available services and amenities. Find out how to solve conflict, understand policies on security, behavior and important housing dates /procedures.

    Student Involvement Oak Dining Room
    Student Involvement is the key to SUCCESS! Learn about all the wonderful opportunities that are available to you outside the classroom, with an overview of student clubs, organizations, Greek life, community service, leadership opportunities, athletics, intramurals and fitness.

    Food Got To Have It Cyber Café
    Worried about how you’ll eat? This session will teach you how to navigate through the meal plans.

    Money Matters ASC 104
    Got money worries? Learn about future scholarship/aid opportunities, work programs on campus, money management skills, the JWU source card, credit scores, financial literacy, the value of your education and more! This I-Grad presentation will help you figure out how to manage finances while in college.

    Join us for this important session as we explain some of the student conduct processes and YOUR rights. Get a glance at campus safety & security services available to you.
    5–6pm Pre-Dinner Theatre Show “JWU Edition” Wildcat Center Gym
    Did you know JWU has a professional dress policy? Join our orientation leaders at their entertaining fashion show explaining it, and check out what’s hot and what’s not!
    6–7pm Dinner The Mix

    Day 3

    7–8am Check Out Wildcat Center, Wales Ballroom
    Check out of your residence hall and store luggage.

    9:45am–12:30pm How Do You Measure Up? JWU Bookstore
    All culinary and baking & pastry students should pick up uniforms. You must be financially cleared to do so.
    9:45am–12:30pm Term Start Activities Throughout campus
    Complete ALL your business activities required for starting classes without delay. Submit final transcripts, get financially cleared, obtain your JWU ID, apply for a parking permit, take your academic assessment test, submit health documents, complete work study new hire paperwork, collect your culinary or pastry uniforms, get your class schedule, and buy books.
    Failure to complete all these activities will put your “in good standing” in jeopardy and holds will be placed on your account preventing you for sitting in class.
