Preparing for Orientation

You’re just a few months away from becoming a JWU student. This website and your checklist will get you ready for the start of the academic year.

What to Bring

• Casual clothes
• Comfortable walking shoes (sneakers are acceptable)
• Toiletries, towels, soap, shampoo, etc.
• Rain gear/umbrellas
• Pillow (we will provide your linens)
• Small amount of money for souvenirs or snacks
• Alarm clock
• US passport, social security card or birth certificate (unexpired)
• Driver’s license or state identification card (unexpired)

What Not to Bring

• Alcohol or drugs
• Pets
• Valuable jewelry or electronics
