Parent Orientation

Our 2-day parent program is designed specifically for you. We are a unique university: Even if you already have a student in college, we encourage you to attend and get the information you need to best support your student here at JWU.

• Learn about the many on-campus resources for you and your student
• Meet with a Student Financial Services rep to review financial options
• Finalize your method of payment for tuition/fees
• Talk with current student leaders
• Meet with JWU reps to learn more about our community
• Complete a student information waiver form (FERPA)
• Participate in interactive workshops
• Meet and connect with other parents from diverse backgrounds
• Talk with Parent Advisory Board members who are parents of current students
• Learn how you can become involved as a parent

Parents/spouses of non-traditional age students may not find this information as helpful. We welcome everyone, but our program is designed for parents of traditional age students.

Cost: $40.00 per person. This non-refundable fee is applied towards meals, activities and transportation.

Disabilities If you or your family member requires a wheelchair, interpreter or other aids/special accommodations, contact us at least 3 weeks before your arrival on campus.
