Preparing for Orientation

You’re just a few months away from becoming a JWU student. This website and checklist will get you ready for the start of the academic year.

What to Bring

• Casual clothes
• Comfortable walking shoes (sneakers are acceptable)
• Rain gear/umbrellas
• Alarm clock
• Toiletries, towels, soap, shampoo, etc.
• Favorite pillow (we will provide your bedding)
• Small amount of money for souvenirs or snacks
• Any outstanding financial documentation required by Student Financial Services (SFS)
• State identification card/driver’s license and current US passport, Social Security card or birth certificate

What Not to Bring

• Alcohol or drugs
• Pets
• Valuable jewelry or electronics
