Guests & Invitations

There is unlimited open seating for students to invite family, friends and guests.

• Guests do not need invitations or tickets for admission to commencement.
• Upon arrival to the ceremony, guests are asked to enter through the main entrances and proceed directly to seat themselves in the guest seating area.
• Please remain seated in the audience throughout the program, as leaving the ceremony demonstrates extreme disrespect to all in attendance.
• Refer to travel and accommodations for additional information.

Can I order invitations? Yes. If interested, you may purchase personalized commencement announcements through the university’s selected vendor, Herff Jones. Orders should be placed in advance to ensure timely receipt.

What time do the doors open? One hour before the start of each ceremony.

How long does the commencement ceremony usually last? All ceremonies will last approximately 2.5 hours. If you are making luncheon or dinner reservations, please allow some extra time to be on the safe side.
