Student parking at JWU is very limited. New resident students are not encouraged to bring a car on campus.
Student Parking Permits
You must have a JWU parking permit to park in a student-assigned parking lot on campus. This includes any lot on the Harborside Campus and parking associated with a residence hall.
Beginning July 28, you can purchase a parking permit for a student-assigned parking lot (excluding The Cove) online at pvdparking.afford.com. The permit can be picked up 24 hours after purchase at the location you specify (SAFS either Downcity or at Harborside) on the application.
We strongly urge you to purchase your permit before Wildcat Welcome to avoid long lines at that time.
- Fall Term Purchase = $90.00 (permit must be purchased for the full academic year)
- Winter Term Purchase = $60.00
- Spring Term Purchase = $30.00
- Indoor parking is available at the Cove for $250/term (Campus Safety & Security issues permits)
JWU Parking Garage
The JWU Parking Garage is located on the Downcity Campus at the corner of Pine and Richmond Streets. To park in the Garage, students need to pick up a free permit (for use only in the Garage) from the Garage Office. If you purchased a parking permit to park in other campus lots, you do not need another to park in the Garage, but you will still pay the hourly parking rates.
Students need a JWU ID to enter; rates are by the hour and paid upon exit. The Garage is intended for daily parking only. Cars left overnight are charged an additional fee.
Find more information on student vehicles on campus in JWU’s Student Handbook.
