Your JWU visit experience I really enjoy the campus and its environments. I came here primarily for the academics and I'm very happy with my decision. I've made a number of strong relationships that will benefit my professional career, as well as life-long friends. JWU offers many organizations and activities to get involved and I have taken full advantage of it whereas I serve on Student Government, Delta Epsilon Chi, Leadership Academy, Leadership in Scholarship, American Advertising Federation, CAT, and the club-level softball team.

Why are you a CAT student? As the events assistant I feel it is part of my duty and my honor to serve on CAT. I enjoy volunteering my time and knowledge towards an activity that has such a large impact on the university. Many students come and are affected by the representatives from Johnson & Wales, as was I, who really tell you the inside of what your college experience will be.

What did you wish you knew (or someone told you) prior to visiting campus? ACCESS is a program where high school seniors can come to college and begin their education as a freshman. I would have liked to have been informed about it, but I am not disappointed I didn't participate because I am completely satisfied with my experience already.

What "insider’s tip" do you have for prospective students about visiting? There are so many tips I could give, but the most important information I can share is this: Get involved on campus and your education, experience, and overall college life will be so much better. You make the experience and when you participate in extracurricular activities you are exposing yourself to more people and challenges that will only make college more worthwhile. Johnson & Wales provides great faculty, staff, and programs that offer what many other colleges do not.

What "must see" things do you recommend prospective students see while they're here visiting? I like to take my guests into the mountains, because they are of course the biggest attribute to Colorado. Lookout Mountain is an amazing view of Denver and its surrounding areas and it's also a historical marker for Buffalo Bill's Grave. I also recommend Pike's Peak and The Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. While you're there, you may find it necessary to check out the beautiful campus of the Air Force Academy. Denver has a number of attractions and it's always nice to do some shopping as well, and the 16th Street Mall is perfect for that.
