meet the tour guides Freddie Howard Culinary Arts/Food Service Management Your JWU visit experience The experience was unforgettable! When stepping into the first culinary lab I knew that this was not only the right career for me, but also the right place. It was shocking to find out that culinary arts students were the individuals who prepare the amazing food for specials events and the MIX, JWU's dining hall. Why are you a CAT student? The feeling of excitement and welcome that I received from CAT on my initial visit to campus was a feeling that I wanted all prospective students to feel when visiting JWU. What did you wish you knew (or someone told you) prior to visiting campus? Prior to visiting campus I wish I was informed about the physical size and location of the North Miami Campus. It's natural to form the assumption that this campus is enormous. However, though spread out, the campus was smaller than I thought -- thus giving the JWU community the advantage of functioning as a family. What "must see" things do you recommend prospective students see while they're here visiting? I suggest that students who plan to reside on campus take the time to visit all freshman residence halls while visiting. It is imperative that you are familiar with where you will be living for the upcoming school year. |
