David Freitas MS Employment Relations, BS Marketing and Finance

bio David Freitas graduated from the University of Rhode Island where he double-majored and received a bachelor's degree in both Finance and Marketing. He later went back to URI to earn his master's degree in Labor Relations. He has worked in a management capacity in banking, software development, and in higher education for 20 years. He has taught various business courses at the Community College of Rhode Island and was the DECA advisor there for several years, bringing many students with disadvantaged backgrounds to several cities in the country and to Canada for conferences and competitions. David’s involvement in DECA and his strong belief in career-based education provided him opportunities to work with J&W, America's Career University®. This led to his employment with the University as the Director of Recruiter Training for the southern region out of the North Miami Campus. He has also been the J&W Admissions Representative for Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, working with students, parents, and educators there for the past four years. Dave brings a unique blend of experience to Johnson & Wales University in both higher education and private industry and enjoys assisting students through the J&W admissions process to fulfill their career goals.
