When can I visit a campus? You can visit Monday through Friday or at specific programs on weekends. Look through our events list. Who can apply for admission? Applications are accepted from students transferring from other colleges, and college graduates. What is the application deadline for admission? Johnson & Wales University accepts applications on a "rolling admissions" basis; therefore, there is no deadline to apply. However, you are encouraged to submit your application and applicable high school or college transcripts as early as possible. What criteria is needed for admission? Transfer students must submit an application for admission, along with official college transcripts from all colleges previously attended prior to enrolling at Johnson & Wales. Students may also be asked to provide high school transcripts upon request. Students must verify high school completion as well. It is the responsibility of those candidates who are currently attending another college to have their updated transcripts sent to JWU as soon as the final grades become available or within the first term of enrollment. Do you require SAT? SAT scores are not required for general admission; however, they are required for honors admission. What if I am interested in more than one campus? You only need to apply once; acceptance to the University is valid at any campus. How much does it cost to apply to JWU? Applying to JWU is free! How do I apply? Our free application is available online or in print at your campus of interest. What happens after I submit my application? Once your application has been submitted, the Admissions office will process your application and an evaluation will be completed by an admissions officer. As soon as your application has been evaluated, the Admissions office will notify you with a decision. A student will receive a decision usually three to four weeks after all documents have been received. If documents are missing, the Admissions office will notify the student requesting the missing documents. How is the school year at JWU structured? We enroll classes in terms for September, December and March. Students wishing to enroll in majors in business, hospitality and technology can also apply for summer session terms, which begin in June. What if I have additional questions?
