Alumni Home North Miami

This past year has brought a lot of changes to the North Miami Campus — with plenty more in store.

Working in conjunction with the city of North Miami, we have recently completed extensive renovations of 17th Avenue, including an improved water system, redesigned lighting and right-of-way improvements. (You can see the changes for yourself by taking a campus visual tour.)

Two larger-scale projects are also in the works.

The new Wildcat Center will serve as home to the campus’ athletics teams and many student activities. It will include a new fitness center and a basketball court with stadium seating.

A new residence hall will be built on the current site of Biscayne Commons. Scheduled to open in early 2011, the new hall will preserve the existing pool and recreational spaces.

Our alumni chapters continue to grow. Miami, Tampa Bay, Orlando and the Bahamas have all made their mark in their respective areas. Plans are underway for further expansion into Puerto Rico and St. Maarten.

In addition, growing numbers of alumni have reconnected at JWU events as diverse as Alumni Leaders Week, regional receptions, sporting and family events and activities. We have many exciting events in store for the coming year, including the Success Board Series Award and an all-class reunion.
