Thomas J. Farrell is the Dean Emeritus of the John Hazen White School of Arts & Sciences at Johnson & Wales University. A distinguished academic administrator, he has served as the Chairman of the Johnson & Wales Humanities Department and as Assistant Dean of the College of Business. He is the author of a novel and five textbooks. Dean Farrell has served as a communications consultant to the State of Rhode Island for 16 years as well as to businesses such as Burston-Marsteller, ITT Educational Service, and most recently to TACO, Inc. He has written numerous articles on Business Communications for publication in magazines and newspapers, including The Wall Street Journal. Dean Farrell is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Salve Regina University.
