Johnson & Wales Hockey Suffers 3-0 Setback Against Stonehill

Foxboro, Mass. – The Johnson & Wales University hockey team dropped a 3-0 decision against Stonehill in a non-conference contest on the road on Wednesday evening.
After battling through the early stages of the first period, Stonehill’s Pete Roundy scored what would prove to be the game-winner at the 12:17 mark of the stanza. The Skyhawks added a pair of power play goals late in the period to take the 3-0 victory.
Mike Manna made 30 saves in the win for Stonehill while junior JR Woodland (Picton, Ontario) had 38 stops in the setback for Johnson & Wales.
With the loss Johnson & Wales falls to 0-3 on the year while Stonehill improves is 2-1-1. The Wildcats will return to action on Wednesday, November 18th when they travel to Wentworth for an ECAC Northeast contest, starting at 7:30 p.m.
