The Bissell Career Development Office at J&W Charlotte has one of the nation's largest and most comprehensive career development programs. Our mission is to assist students at every stage of career development and provide employers with the right programs to meet their hiring needs.
The J&W educational experience is all about preparing students for a
career. Our successful approach integrates both academic and career coaching
to help students chart the right path and build the skills necessary to achieve
their career goals. We provide resources and tools to help facilitate Best
Fit Employment along with offering job fairs, expos and our annual Career
Conference. Students can also participate in various work experiences like
co-op and externship to gain employment experience related to their field
of study. We offer employment search assistance to help students obtain meaningful
career positions, seasonal employment and part-time jobs as well as career
management advice.

career coaching We help students focus on a career path, determine the right marketable
combination of work and academic experience, and improve or update a resume or interviewing skills. Students may contact their Career
Coach by sending a message through the Best Fit Career Management System (CMS), or by contacting our office.
job searching Use our office as a resource for both job search and career planning. We can help you search for open positions in your chosen field, gather pertinent company information, contact the company, and help determine what company will be a best fit.
alumni career services Once graduated, students become a member of the Alumni Association and receive access to all on- and off-campus events. For additional information, please visit Alumni Relations.
