About the Charlotte Campus
Uptown Charlotte, as well as the 16-county region, is a much different place than it was before 2004. JWU opened its doors to the first graduating class, enrolling 1,016 in culinary arts, hospitality and business. Today the Charlotte Campus has built enrollment to more than 2,400 students from 18 foreign countries and 47 states.
An independent study commissioned by JWU in 2006 cited a $50 million economic impact. The university has also become a major player when it comes to community outreach. During the 2012-2013 academic year more than 1,130 members of the Charlotte Campus volunteered 21,221 hours of service.

JWU’s Centennial celebration kicks off in 2013 and continues through May, when the Centennial Commencement ceremony will recognize one very special Class of 2014.
