JWU Charlotte’s Peter Reinhart joins Nathan Myhrvold’s Modernist Cuisine team to write the definitive book on the art and science of bread.

The Corporate Accounting and Financial Analysis program, offered through Johnson & Wales’ Charlotte Campus, has earned endorsement by the IMA (Institute of Management Accountants), one of the largest and most respected associations focused exclusively on advancing the management accounting profession. With this recognition, JWU joins nine other schools -- including Penn State, Michigan State and Brigham Young University.

We’re calling it “Founders Day,” and it’s a great opportunity to reflect on the the campus’ accomplishments — and look ahead to its future. This celebratory event is by INVITE ONLY and is open to our major donors, community leaders and special friends. WHEN: Thu, Dec 5, 6-8pm WHERE: University Events Center About the Charlotte Campus Uptown Charlotte, as well as the 16-county region, is a much different place than it was before 2004. JWU opened its doors to the first graduating class, enrolling 1,016 in culinary arts, hospitality and business. Today the Charlotte Campus has built enrollment to more than 2,400 students from 18 foreign countries and 47 states. An independent study commissioned by JWU in 2006 cited a $50 million economic impact. The university has also become a major player when it comes to community outreach. During the 2012-2013 academic year more than 1,130 members of the Charlotte Campus volunteered 21,221 hours of service. 100 Years of JWU JWU’s Centennial celebration kicks off in 2013 and continues through May, when the Centennial Commencement ceremony will recognize one very special Class of 2014. Ten students have been announced as finalists for their Southern-inspired ice cream recipes in the Second Annual Front Porch New Flavor Competition, sponsored by Front Porch Carolina Churned Ice Cream and Johnson & Wales University’s Charlotte Campus.

Eight Lady Wildcats have been recognized by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) for their achievements both on the volleyball court and in the classroom.
