The Charlotte campus also enjoys a community-minded relationship with the NFL Carolina Panthers Organization. Twice a year Johnson & Wales students and staff join the efforts of the Carolina Panthers to assist the community through pre-game collections at Bank of America Stadium.
The
annual “Stuff The Bus” school supply drive collects items to stock
Classroom Central, a free store for teachers from high-need schools in the
Charlotte area. Later in the season the focus is on collecting canned goods
and financial donations for the local Salvation Army chapter during the “20,000
Pounds of Thanks-Giving” drive. After assisting with the collections
student volunteers then get tickets to enjoy the game!
