School of Technology

In the fast-growing, increasingly borderless technology field, the demand for well-trained professionals is skyrocketing.

Whether your interest is in game engine development, motion graphics, robotics, software engineering or virtual environments, JWU’s 11 career-focused degree programs will provide you with the employment-ready skills to stand out from the competition.

Our pioneering educational approach encompasses:

  • classroom education that combines technology and project management skills with related work experience
  • a curriculum developed with industry input to make you employment-ready
  • a foundation in the liberal arts to further your critical and analytical thinking
  • industry-experienced faculty who bring real-life projects and networking opportunities into small classroom settings

You’ll develop the project management and communications skills to work productively and proactively in interdisciplinary teams, as well as to convey your ideas to multiple audiences.

Many of our 20 cross-platform computer labs are designed as collaborative workspaces for you to work together alongside your peers and professors to solve tomorrow’s technology challenges.

You’ll apply the practical knowledge you’ve learned through experiential education assignments with local, national or international industry partners like Bank of America and GTECH, as well as team-based design and planning projects for Rhode Island’s nonprofit community.
