schedule of graduation weekend preparation events
February 11: Herff Jones website available. Students may order announcements, rings and other graduation amenity items.
March 19: Student vocalist and speaker applications due in the Student Affairs Office.
March 25 - 26: Herff Jones vendor days from 10:00am - 2:00pm in the Student Union.
Early April: Student vocalist auditions. Each student will be contacted by the Student Affairs Office to arrange their audition.
April 29 - 30: Cap and gown distribution from 10:00am - 2:00pm in the Student Union.
your cap and gown Each graduate is responsible for ordering their own cap and gown on the Herff Jones website by March 28.
students graduating with honors Students with a designated
GPA receive the following honors (as denoted in the Student Handbook):
Dean's List: 3.40 & above
Cum Laude: 3.40-3.60
Magna Cum Laude: 3.61-3.80
Summa Cum Laude: 3.81-4.00
Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.40 and above following the winter 2007 term will be issued a gold honors cord when they arrive to their robing station on Commencement morning. Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude and Summa Cum Laude will be denoted in the graduation program based upon the student cumulative GPA following the winter 2007 term.
co-op/externship students Those students who will be on co-op/externship for the spring term will receive information about graduation when they attend their orientation session with the Career Development office. Those students who do not attend their co-op/externship orientation sessions must contact Mike Gallegos to complete their graduation requirements.
residential students All students must completely move out of the residence halls by 5:00pm on Saturday, May 17. For specific inquiries, please contact Denise Kupetz, Director of Residential Life at 303-256-9400.
financial aid information Please contact Student Services 303-256-9700. Students continuing on to a bachelor's degree will need to submit FAFSA information and be financially cleared for the 2008-2009 academic year. Students who are completing their studies and entering the work world will need to complete their financial aid exit interview.

vocalist and speaker applications Each year we invite graduating students to speak at the baccalaureate and the commencement ceremonies. Arts & Sciences faculty have developed and facilitated a rigorous selection process to select one speaker for each event. In addition to inviting our graduates to speak, we will invite and audition students to sing the National Anthem at the Commencement Ceremony. Vocalists and speaker applications are available in the Student Affairs Office or may be found in your graduation weekend booklet.
