Join graduating students, family members, University faculty, administration , and alumni for this unique celebration. Due to overwhelming response, reservations are required. Print, complete and return the reception reservation form to the Student Affairs Office by May 1, 2006.

Commencement is the most significant academic event for students and the entire University community. It is the culmination of years of hard work and personal and financial sacrifice for students and families alike.

The University has gone to great lengths to make this Commencement one which will properly honor your accomplishments and provide lasting memories. This, the 24th Commencement ceremony in Virginia will celebrate the traditional observances that accompany one of the highest rewards of academic achievement.

apply to graduate All students must complete a graduation application. These applications have been mailed to students and are also available in the Student Academic & Financial Services area. Applications are due by March 23, 2006. Students must have 25 credits or less (undergrad) left to complete as of March 31st to be eligible to walk in the commencement ceremony.

unable to attend? Although it is traditional to graduate by attending Commencement, there may be circumstances that prevent you from attending the ceremony. If you have completed all graduation requirements, but are unable to attend, you are still considered a member of this graduating class.
