Faculty Advising

The Hospitality College provides faculty advising in a variety of ways. As an freshman or a transfer student, you'll be assigned a faculty advisor who will help provide skills training based on your individual needs.

Your advisor will help you with reading, writing, study and test-taking skills, as well as with time and stress management. You will meet with your advisor regularly, on a one-to-one basis, setting goals for the semester and developing the skills to efficiently achieve your goals.

Your faculty advisor works closely with our career experts in Experiential Education & Career Services to provide you with the best career management guidance, designed to help you achieve you overall career objectives. You'll work with your faculty advisor and our career experts to identify a field of interest, create a plan to achieve your goals and develop your resume and interviewing skills.

Helping you succeed is our number one priority. You can use the tutors from our Achievement Center or you can work with your one of your peers or professors.

Our Student Success team is dedicated to making sure you are given every opportunity for success, with special courses and workshops, tutoring, and personal, career and academic counseling. If you have any disabilities, the team provides special programs, adaptations and reasonable accommodations to ensure every opportunity for your success in college.
