JWU’s two-year associate degree program in Robotic Engineering Technology integrates concepts from computer programming, digital electronics, circuit theory, and robotics to provide a comprehensive education in the area of robotics and automation. From mechatronics to the latest theories in artificial intelligence, microprocessor development to speech synthesis and real-time programming, you’ll develop the techniques, skills and methodologies to formulate efficient solutions to complex robotic engineering problems. Coursework covers such industry-ready skills as maintenance and troubleshooting, robotic hardware design and software development for real-time applications. The program culminates in a sophomore-year technology internship, where you’ll have the opportunity to gain work experience at industry partnership sites such as Intel, Motorola and Atrion. This program tracks into the four-year bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering. With the guidance of your faculty advisor, you make that decision during your fourth term; adjustment to your required course work will be established prior to AS graduation.
