Student Conduct strives to support JWU's academic mission by enhancing every student’s academic achievement through personal, ethical and character development. Our programs and services are designed to maintain and promote community standards of behavior and foster a positive and productive living and learning environment where civility and respect for all individuals are the hallmarks of our richly diverse and flourishing university community.
PurposeThe purpose of the Student Code of Conduct and the Conduct Review Process that supports it is to help JWU maintain a safe, healthy and positive environment for living, learning, and working, where individuals act lawfully and in compliance with university policies and rules, and act with honesty, integrity, civility, and respect for themselves and others, as well as for the university community and the communities in which we live. Any behavior that is inconsistent with these goals, whether on campus or off, whether during periods of enrollment or at any time before final graduation, is prohibited and constitutes a violation of the Code of Conduct. For more information, please refer to the Providence Student Handbook.
Office of Community Relations Being a good neighbor and a valued member of the community is one of JWU's highest priorities. The Office of Community Relations is responsible for off-campus student housing issues and concerns, acting as a liaison between property owners, community members and students. We make every effort to assist students with off-campus property owner disputes, community concerns and advice on safety and security.
