Want to learn from the culinary world’s most acclaimed chefs?
Our Distinguished Visiting Chef (DVC) program brings Top Chefs, James Beard Award-winners and other renowned chefs face-to-face with our students to offer tips for success, and demonstrate the techniques, creativity, and personal philosophies that set them apart from their peers.
DVCs conduct demonstrations for our students and prepare a 4-course menu for guests at a dinner that benefits the university’s scholarship fund.
Recipients have included culinary greats like Thomas Keller and Martin Yan, as well as acclaimed JWU alums like Michelle Bernstein '94, “Top Chef” winner Kevin Sbraga '03, Timon Balloo '00, Adrianne Calvo '04 and Emeril Lagasse '78.
