Advancing in Leadership Retreat This weekend retreat is designed to focus on students who are interested in digging deeper into issues related to leadership. Experiential in nature, this event helps students reflect and strategize in relation to their own leadership styles and plans for the future. Applications will be available on the Involvement Network in early January for this spring retreat.
Creating Excellent Organizations (CEO) Offered monthly, CEO workshops are 75-minute training and development sessions geared to build a network and strengthen leadership skills for student leaders. Whether you are a leader in one of JWU’s 100+ clubs and organizations or just interested in the respective leadership topic, sessions are facilitated by faculty, staff and guest presenters geared to strengthen key leadership skills.
Emerging Leaders Series (ELS) Focusing on topics related to basic leadership development, the Emerging Leaders Series is a seven-week program tailored to freshmen and sophomores. In order to participate, students must be nominated by an orientation leader or faculty or staff member. The Emerging Leader Series is offered in the Fall and Winter trimesters.
