Clubs & Organizations

Getting involved with extracurricular activities is one of the best ways to round out your college experience. It’s also an ideal way to get to know your peers, your campus and the surrounding city.

JWU Student Life Clubs & Orgs Parade in Providence CampusAnd, because there are over 100 clubs and organizations right here on campus, it's easy to get connected to all kinds of club-sponsored events like socials, dances, road trips, lectures and film screenings.

If you’re interested in forming a new group, contact Jessica Long Grady, assistant director of Student Activities, at 401-598-1150. You can also stop by her office on the 2nd floor of the Citizens Bank Center for Student Involvement (CBCSI).

Policies & Procedures
The Clubs and Organizations Handbook (642K PDF) covers the policies and procedures related to running a club, including how to get started, club responsibilities and event policies.

The Advisor Manual (237K PDF) is a guide for faculty and staff advisors. It includes practical advice for helping student leaders reach their goals for the year.

The Involvement Network
The Involvement Network is the new link between students and JWU Clubs & Organizations on campus. This network allows you to view all the clubs & organizations along with their mission statements and previous club activity. Each club has its own profile page where you can post as well as see who else is a member. Join the group to get regular updates about club activities.

The Involvement Network can be accessed by going to jwulink under the Student Life tab. The link to the Involvement Network is posted in the Clubs and Organizations box.

Appropriations and Funding
Clubs in good standing may be eligible for supplemental funding provided by the Student Government Association (SGA). The Appropriations Guide (27K PDF) outlines all policies and procedures related to requesting funding.
