Student Leadership Awards

The Student Leadership Awards is a special effort on behalf of the University to acknowledge the great strides made by groups and individuals alike towards building a greater sense of community.

Please join us on May 7, 2013 in Schneider Auditorium as we recognize are stellar leaders.

Nomination Forms
Are you a student, faculty or staff member? You can nominate outstanding students, organizations and advisors for the great contributions they have made at JWU during the academic year.

To apply or nominate someone, please go to the Involvement Network and under the “Campus Links” click on the Student Leadership Awards link.

Applications and nominations are due by April 5, 2013 at 11:45pm. For those who do not have access to the involvement Network, but want to apply or nominate a student or student club/organization, please contact Matthew Gilsbach, Assistant Director for Greek Life, for an nomination form.

We will be recognizing community members in the following categories:

Advancing Leader of the Year
This award has been established to recognize students for their outstanding leadership and commitment to the Johnson & Wales University - Providence campus community.

Advisor of the Year
This award has been designed to recognize an individual who has done an outstanding job in advising a co-curricular club or organization at Johnson & Wales University - Providence campus.

Campus Program of the Year
This award has been established to encourage and promote the development of excellence in programming. The award is given to the organization that has been innovative in the development, implementation and delivery of a successful program which is being recognized as the most outstanding program of the year.

Cultural Program of the Year
This award has been established to encourage and promote the development of programs and services related to cultural, diversity, inclusion and global awareness. The award is given to the organization that has been innovative in the development, implementation, and delivery of a successful program.

Educational Program of the Year
This award has been established to encourage and promote the development of programs that educate, inform and enlighten the JWU community about important social issues. The award is given to the organization that has been innovative in the development, implementation, and delivery of a successful program.

Emerging Leader of the Year
This award has been established to recognize students for their outstanding leadership and commitment to the Johnson & Wales University - Providence campus community.

Feinstein "Enriching America"
These awards are cash prizes given in recognition of exceptional self-initiated community service projects performed during the academic year.

Fraternity & Sorority Chapter (s) of the Year
This award is given to one chapter per governing council to acknowledge and recognize significant contributions to the Johnson & Wales – Providence community by a fraternal organization.

New Student Organization of the Year
This award has been established to acknowledge and recognize the new student organization that has had the most impact here at the Johnson & Wales University - Providence campus community during its first year.

Senior Service Awards
This award has been established to recognize students for their outstanding leadership and commitment to the Johnson & Wales University, Providence campus community.

Student Leaders of the Year
This award has been established to recognize students for their outstanding leadership and commitment to the Johnson & Wales University, Providence campus community.

Student Organization of the Year
This award has been established to acknowledge and recognize the student organization that has had the most impact and has made significant contributions to the Johnson & Wales University, Providence campus community.

Student Organization Support Award
This award is awarded to a University department, office, faculty, and/or staff member whose work and support on-campus has fostered an inclusive and connected sense of community for student involvement. The work of these individuals continually enhances the efforts of students and involvement on our campus. They help us go above and beyond our work together to further collective engagement.

Wildcat Spirit Award
This award has been established to recognize and acknowledge the special efforts of particular organizations that have created enthusiasm and pride above and beyond their organization's mission within the University community.
