Participation in student organizations helps to round out your college experiences by sharpening your organizational, leadership and communication skills. The Department of Campus Activities serves as a resource to all student organizations.

Recognized Student Organizations
Bacchus Society is dedicated to informing students about alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink components, history, service, and food pairings.
BBQ Club learns about, promotes and works with American and ethnic barbeque as well as artisan meats.
Catwalk is an organization for students interested in learning about fashion merchandising, participating in fashion industry events, and planning and promoting fashion-related events on campus.
Collegiate Entrepreneurship Association develops students' ideas about careers in entrepreneurship, connecting them with successful entrepreneurs, and informs the campus community on the ways in which entrepreneurship relates to and impacts business and the economy.
Criminal Justice Association A group of students interested in or pursuing careers in the field of criminal justice. The focus is on further developing interest and skills, as well as building connections within the field.
Generation Equality/Gay Straight Alliance (GEN EQ) is dedicated to informing the campus community about the GLBT community, developing strong allies, and promoting equal rights and securing human rights for everyone.
JWU Green Initiative informs students about environmentally friendly practices and associated issues faced by students and the greater community; additionally, the group is working to “green” the campus.
Nutrition Society is interested in the ways in which nutrition relates to culinary and how to plan meals for special dietary needs.
Performing Arts Club showcases student talent through dramatic production and expression.
Student Accounting Association is dedicated to developing the skills of accounting students, connecting students with industry professionals, and providing leadership and service opportunities related to accounting on campus and in the community.
Professional Student Organizations
American Advertising Federation (AAF) educates members on the latest trends in technology, creativity, and marketing, provide leadership programs to assist local associations, connect members with industry professionals, and applies the communication skills of its members to help solve community concerns.
Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) networks with Senior Chapter members and attend club tours around the Denver, CO Mile High Chapter, encourage the education and advancement of members, and assist club officers and members, through their managers, to secure the utmost in efficient and successful operations.
Delta Epsilon Chi (DEX) A collegiate division of DECA, DEX strives to serve its diverse campus members as a professional organization, and provide leadership and career opportunities that expand knowledge of business, career, and life skills through experiential learning, competition, community service, networking and social events.
International Association of Assembly Managers (IAAM) provides students with leadership opportunities, further educates students about public assembly facilities and connect with industry professionals, works with NBA and NHL All-star games, and attend other nationally-known events with industry professionals and companies.
International Business Professionals of America (IBPA) teaches young professionals valuable tools and skills to compete in today’s global economy through interaction with our community.
Johnson & Wales Hospitality Professionals (JHOP) connects students with industry professionals through networking opportunities, benefits students in their professional career through educational opportunities, and sends students to annual events related to the hospitality industry in Colorado and around the country.
Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) A collegiate division of FBLA, PBL prepares students for careers in business and business-related fields, provides opportunities for leadership and academic development, and encourages students to participate in professional competitive events.
Departmental Organizations
Campus Activities Board (CAB) is the premiere event planning organization on campus, presenting comedians, musicians, speakers, movies, and novelty acts.
Collegiate Ambassador Team (CAT) Student Ambassadors work with the Admissions Office to welcome prospective and incoming students to Johnson & Wales University.
Student Alumni Association (SAA) engages current students in their role as students today and alumni forever and to serve as a link in connecting students with alumni on the local and national levels.
Student Government Association (SGA) acts as a liaison between the administration and the student body to create the best university experience, with a focus on the equal and fair representation of the student voice, emphasizing the empowerment of opinion and opportunity, and the pursuit of success within surrounding communities.
Greek Life
We currently have two Greek organizations on campus: Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority and Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. Contact the Student Affairs Office for more information.
