Campus Activities Board

The Campus Activities Board (CAB) consists of student-run committees dedicated to bringing a wide variety of entertainment to campus. Learn how to budget, plan and organize events while making new friends and having a great time.

The CAB is also responsible for all JWU Denver Campus traditional events, including Spirit Weeks, Frightmare in the Fall Term, Winter Week in the Winter Term, and Spring Fling the first week of May, as well as Wildcat Welcome, Casino Night, Hanging of the Greens and the Greatest Day of Fun.

The Committees 
Sage: Take a study break, grab a cup of coffee and kick back in the low-key Hospitality Lounge, home to spoken word events, acoustic songwriters and comedy nights. Chairperson: Chris Cantua

Winter Week: The holidays are a time to celebrate and that is what CAB does. Every December CAB has a week full of events ending with Hanging of the Greens. Hanging of the Greens is a special campus tradition that begins with a dinner and ceremony and ends with a dance all focused on getting the JWU Denver campus community in the holiday spirit! Cinema Showcase: Pick the movies you want to see. Movie still in the theater? Not a problem! We have special access to show what’s hot at the box office. Chairperson: Jessica Bell

Special Events: Want to see some magic? What about seeing your friends do crazy stuff on stage? Join us as we select the best hypnotists, magicians and guest speakers. Chairperson: Lindsey Hersh

Frightmare: Why should Halloween be just one day? Each fall CAB hosts programs for a week themed around Halloween. Part of the Frightmare week is the tradition of CAB sponsoring a service program at the Denver Police Academy on Halloween to entertain young children in the neighborhood with candy and a haunted house! Spring Fling: The best way to end another great year is with a week full of events! CAB has multiple programs both indoors and out to take advantage of the beautiful campus and weather. The conclusion of Spring Fling is GDOF (Greatest Day Of Fun) and it is the greatest day of the year! Chairperson: Ashley Perham
