JWU annually invites a long list of leaders of the hospitality industry into college classrooms to provide insight into their experiences in business and their knowledge of how to achieve success in the hospitality industry.

Past participants of the Distinguished Visiting Professors program have included:

Joe MartinChairman, American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA)
An active and long-time supporter of the AH&LA, Mr. Martin has served on the association's board of directors for the past seven years. In addition to being the owner and operator of Oklahoma-based Stillwater Hospitality, LLC, he is involved in many organizations that support and represent the hotel and lodging industries, including the Governmental Affairs/HotelPAC Committee, the Multicultural & Diversity Advisory Council, and the Women In Lodging Executive Council, among others. Among the first items on his agenda as new chairman of AH&LA was the release of the organization's Top 10 Tips for Hoteliers.
