Before becoming Assistant Dean and an Associate Professor for the College of Business at Johnson & Wales University, Joanne Galenski held the post of University Registrar. Her teaching areas of expertise are Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Foundations of Business, Principles of Management and other management-related courses. In her role as Assistant Dean, Galenski specializes in all aspects of college operations, including budgeting, accreditation standards, student orientations, curriculum development, supervising faculty performance, faculty recruitment, outcomes assessment, student advising, and project management. She also works on the development of Student Foreign Exchange and Term Abroad Programs. Galenski currently serves as Chair for the College of Business Curriculum Committee and is vice-chair of the COB Operations Committee. She is an active member of the Freshman Faculty Advisor Committee, the University Experiential Education Committee, the COB Outcomes Assessment Committee, the Academic Appeals Committee and several other academic and operational committees. Galenski is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Faculty Athletic Representative Association for NCAA and a member of the Northeast Human Resource Association (NEHRA).
