Crime Alerts Crime alerts are published in the Campus Herald on a bi-weekly basis. Any incidents that require immediate notification to the university community will be posted in administrative and academic buildings, residence halls and other gathering places. In Case of Emergency (ICE) In an emergency, time is critical. ICE helps emergency service providers access information quickly in an emergency situation.
JWU Ride On-call emergency transport service is available to all JWU students between 11:30pm-3:30am. If you’re stranded in the Providence area due to unforeseen circumstances, call 401-598-1048 to arrange for a JWU Ride home. Last call for this service is 2:30am.
Lost & Found Lost items are held by Campus Safety and Security for 90 days; student IDs are sent to Student Dining Services. University keys are sent to the locksmith. Call about lost items at any time, day or night. However, items can only be picked up between 8am-4pm, Mon-Fri. Patrol Campus Safety & Security uses three patrol methods. Foot and vehicle patrol methods are utilized 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; usage of the bicycle patrol method is weather-dependent. Two vehicle patrols are on duty at all times. Project ID This service that aids in the recovery of lost or stolen items. Valuables are engraved with a unique number, which is then entered into a database with the owner's information. Safe Walk A student escort service is available so you don’t have to walk alone late at night. Safe Walk runs Sunday-Saturday, 6pm-12am at the on the Downcity Campus. Call 401-598-1103. Student Auxiliary Students supplement the patrol staff by manning the parking lots and checking IDs at various campus locations.
