Therefore, JWU has established the Employee Development Institute, a venue through which employees can work to improve and achieve their individual goals for professional success. The Employee Development Institute strives to

• Provide development programs that strengthen employee skills and perpetuate professional growth.
• Promote institutional effectiveness and high-level performance through employee development.
• Use the best available internal and/or external resources to ensure quality in program development and instruction.

Program offerings cover a wide range of topics and focus on general professional development, not functional job training.

Most courses are offered in traditional, classroom-style settings, although a few other options are also included.
