Kevin Weaver, director of campus safety & security, 980-598-1905Director Weaver is a 23 year veteran of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department where he rose to the rank of Sergeant. During Director Weaver's Law Enforcement career he had the opportunity to serve in, patrol, homicide investigation, community relations, as well as, being certified as a collision reconstructionist.
He holds a BS degree in Communications from Western Carolina University as well as an MBA from Pfeiffer University.
Jane Freeman, campus safety & security captain, 980-598-1907 Captain Freeman oversees the afternoon and night security shifts on campus. She has worked with the contracted services here on campus for several years.
Prior to that she spent 10 years with the Thomas F. Kerr company in property management and was an office manager for the Shutter Shop. A Charlotte North Carolina native, she holds a bachelor’s degree in theater with a minor in English.
Steven Balcaitis, campus safety & security sergeant, 980-598-1901Sergeant Balcaitis began his career by joining the Army in 2000 as a Human Resource Specialist. After serving his country for 8 years, with a combat tour in Iraq as a Military Police Officer, he along with his wife, Tiffany, served as civilian security in Iraq and Afghanistan for two years, assisting with Coalition Force operations. He now resides in York, South Carolina with his wife and is a native of Cincinnati Ohio.
Keith Markham, campus safety & security sergeant, 980-598-1904Keith spent 6 years in the US Marine Corps working as a Marine Investigator with Naval Security Group. He has since then spent several years in ministry/event orientated security and comes to us as an additional Allied Barton transplant. He and his wife Tracy, with four children and now two grandchildren, reside in the Charlotte area where they have lived since 1991.
Johannes Stoltz, campus safety & security sergeant, 980-598-1900Sergeant Stoltz began his career by serving as a member of the South Africa Commando Force and was a member of the South African Police Reservist force for several years. He then spent 42 years in the education field and worked as a Principle in primary education.
Sergeant Stoltz holds a master’s degree in education management. He currently resides in Huntersville NC.
