Johnson & Wales University has long recognized the contributions and dedication of faculty and staff to make the university a better place where students can learn and live. As that commitment continues to be the backbone for future growth and success, JWU established a venue, presently being established at our Providence Campus, through which employees can work to improve and achieve their individual goals for professional success.

The Employee Development Institute strives to:

• Provide development programs that strengthen employee skills and perpetuate professional growth
• Promote institutional effectiveness and high-level performance through employee development.
• Use the best available internal and/or external resources to ensure quality in program development and instruction.

Program offerings cover a wide range of topics and focus on general professional development, not functional job training. Most courses are offered in traditional, classroom-style settings, although other options are included.
