Distinguished Visiting Chef

Thomas Keller DVC Per Se French Laundry Bouchon

Since it was first established on the Charlotte Campus in 2004, some of the nation's leading chefs have been honored in JWU’s Distinguished Visiting Chef (DVC) program, where some of the culinary world's most accomplished chefs demonstrate the techniques, creativity, and personal philosophies that set them apart.

Recent DVC honorees include Thomas Keller (Per Se, French Laundry, ad hoc), Alice Waters (Chez Panisse), Ben Roche '02, Martin Yan, Iron Chef winner Walter Royal, En-Ming Hsu (former captain of the US Pastry Team) and Amy Scherber, principal of Amy's Breads.

A scholarship in the DVC's name will also be awarded to an outstanding culinary student.
