This joint program of The Hospitality College and the College of Culinary Arts combines the strength of both schools to prepare you for a career in front- or back-of-house.
You’ll develop a solid baking and pastry foundation and management philosophy while expanding your leadership and management abilities. The curriculum provides ample opportunity to hone your critical thinking, personal ethics, financial analysis and customer awareness. You will also be able to identify and communicate long-range vision and strategy for a food service company. Electives may be fulfilled through any of the following options:
This program includes a unique hands-on rotational internship experience at a JWU-owned facility, or at one of our partner properties. You may further focus your studies by choosing from selected Culinary concentrations and all Hospitality concentrations. (Check with your advisor if you have questions about which concentrations are available in your major.)This bachelor of science program is for graduates of the Baking & Pastry Arts associate degree program.
