Developed by the National Restaurant Association, the program is designed to move teachers away from a more traditional emphasis on “home economics” and instead equip them to prepare students for work in restaurants and food services. Each year, approximately 100 teachers and roughly 400 high school students from all over the state attend ProStart workshops on campus. North Miami's Parks & Recreation Department Join! Work!
