About

Our progressive master’s and doctoral programs all remain true to JWU’s pioneering educational approach, combining theory, research and practice to equip you with exceptional professional skills and understanding of how to improve student learning. We form alliances with educational institutions to better develop you as a scholar-practitioner through innovative, customized and field-based educational experiences.

These programs all share several key features:

  • Accessible schedules designed for adults with jobs and family responsibilities, including late afternoon, night and weekend classes
  • Student-centered instruction and small classroom settings, enabling our faculty and staff to get to know you and work with you one-on-one
  • Fieldwork in functioning schools that is explicitly linked to instruction and is an integral part of the curriculum
  • Faculty practitioners who bring years of experience as well as theory to their instruction
  • A cohort model in which students matriculate and move through the program as a group—a structure that ensures learning is cohesive while it enhances collaboration and support among colleagues

At JWU’s School of Education, you’ll discover educational opportunities that meet or exceed your career objectives, as well as schedules designed to accommodate your busy life.
