JWU Providence : PA Program Accreditation

PA Program Accreditation

Our PA Studies program is in development. We have applied for Accreditation-Provisional from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), the accrediting agency that defines the standards for PA education within the territorial US.

About Provisional Status
Accreditation-Provisional is an accreditation status for a new PA program that has not yet enrolled students, but which has demonstrated, at the time of its initial accreditation review, its preparedness to initiate a program in accordance with the accreditation standards.

Pending an accreditation status decision from the ARC-PA in September 2013, our first class will start in June 2014. Our program will not commence if Accreditation-Provisional is not received.

Students may be conditionally accepted into a program that is in the process of applying for Accreditation-Provisional. Final and formal acceptance can only occur after a program is granted Accreditation-Provisional.

Review the Program Prerequisites
The online CASPA application will be available in April 2013. Until then, familiarize yourself with our admissions prerequisites, which will help you assemble the necessary documentation.
