Management Accounting

JWU's bachelor of science degree in Management Accounting provides a solid foundation in managerial accounting, as well as financial accounting and taxation.

The program consists of extensive specialized accounting courses, as well as related business subjects and general studies.

The program is designed to prepare you for the Certified Management Accountant Exam (CMA).

Prior to graduation, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Work towards your Certified Public Accountant certification (CPA)
• Sit for the exam portion of the CMA certification

In addition, you’ll have the option to join and participate in monthly chapter meetings of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), which take place on our campus.

Graduates of the program will be expected to demonstrate the professional competency and skills necessary to:

• Analyze and record business transactions
• Prepare financial statements
• Perform other functions required by the profession, utilizing effective comprehension of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
