Should an emergency circumstance arise all announcements and information will be handled through JWU email accounts. It is our most effective means of mass communication and the method we employ for all critical announcements.
We will also utilize the university's broadcast voicemail system. We recommend that students have a fully charged cell phone or calling card available to them at all times and that students and their families have an emergency communications plan in place. Should an emergency evacuation be necessary, students should advise their families of the location to which they are being evacuated as quickly as possible.
Additionally, the ConnectED communications system allows JWU to reach students and employees immediately during emergencies. Students should check jwuLink regularly to make sure that their personal and emergency contact information is updated.
