Continuing & Adult Education

Whether your interest is professional development, a career transition, personal enrichment or academic growth, JWU's continuing education degree and certificate programs, beverage certifications and recreational cooking classes serve a diverse community of adult learners.

We offer a curriculum that incorporates the career objectives of students and the needs of industry. All programs in Continuing Education draw upon the university’s long tradition of practice-oriented education to offer working professionals the competitive advantage needed to advance their career. Local, national and international companies employ our graduates because they enter the workforce with the necessary tools to excel in their field of study.

Our evening and weekend classes, as well as four academic terms, give you the flexibility to schedule courses when convenient, with classes after hours. The Continuing Education Division has created a teaching and learning environment that is sensitive to the needs of adult learners. The schedule of classes, program designs, instructional formats, and faculty and staff office hours have been established to be flexible and convenient. Through JWU advisors and counselors, academic support is offered along with career development, academic counseling and financial planning.

You can choose from AS or BS degree programs in:

Business
Culinary Arts
Hospitality
Technology

We also offer a flexible weekend diploma program in Culinary Arts or Baking & Pastry Arts, as well as non-credit and recreational cooking programs.
