Marriott Experience
Before she became vice president of talent management and home office human resources at OSi Restaurant Partners LLC in Tampa, Michelle was senior vice president of human resources, global brand management and organizational capability at Marriott International, Inc.

As a senior vice president of Human Resources for the Global Brand Management organization, Michele supports the president of North America Lodging, and the leader of the Organizational Capability center of expertise, which provides organizational design and effectiveness support to the business.

Michele joined Marriott International in 1999 as the Director of Human Resources Research, and was responsible for Marriott’s associate opinion survey program and human capital research and measurement activities.

She became a vice president within Organizational Capability and later assumed accountability for the Executive Talent Management and the Training Design & Development departments.

Looking Ahead
Michele has obtained additional degrees from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Service Management, and from Virginia Tech in Organizational Development.

She says, “Simply competing on product and design isn’t sufficient — and certainly not a sustainable competitive advantage."

She forecasts the growing pressure for companies in the industry to differentiate their brands and create competitive advantage by delivering unique service experiences.
