Terrence B. Williams ’89, Executive Director of Alumni Strategic Planning and International Relations, Johnson & Wales University

imgTerrenceWilliams170x150Terrence Williams recently returned to his alma mater JWU to oversee strategic planning and international relations in the university’s office of Resource Development.

Prior to his current position, Terrence was VP of human resources for The New York Times Regional Media Group headquartered in Tampa, Fla., where he was responsible for developing and executing the company’s human capital strategies relative to talent acquisition and retention, compensation, employee relations and organizational development.

Before that, Terrence held a number of staff and division positions with Sentara Healthcare, PepsiCo, Hyatt, Marriott and Disney, all dealing with the HR function, including talent acquisition, labor relations, operations and organizational development.

Terrence holds a masters from Troy University and a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Johnson & Wales University.

Terrence serves on the alumni council leadership team as the president of the Tampa Bay Alumni Chapter representing all alumni in the Tampa Bay area.
