Darryl “Chip” Wade is the Senior Vice President of Red Lobster’s Liberty Division, and an officer of the parent company, Darden Restaurants Inc. In his current position, Chip is responsible for the day-to-day operations of 93 Red Lobster restaurants located in seven states and the District of Columbia. Chip’s division has aggregate sales exceeding $325 million and employs more than 7,000 managers and employees.
Preceding his current position with Red Lobster, Wade was Chief Operating Officer for Legal Sea Foods, Inc. In that position, he was responsible for all operations at the upscale seafood brand. Additionally, he was responsible for all development expansion strategies for the company.
Wade spent 12 years with Carlson Restaurants' T.G.I. Friday's brand. Here he progressed through various management positions including executive director of non-traditional development and domestic franchise sales; executive director of human resources and director of operations for New England.
A founding board member of the MultiCultural Foodservice & Hospitality Alliance, Wade is a dedicated proponent of diversity. His inspiration and energy comes from seeing others dream and achieve their goals.
