Hicham Driouech has to renew his passport every year, just to make space. The Johnson & Wales University alum oversees Nokia’s retail and marketing operations in over 20 African countries. So he’s traveling to a different country each week.
Hicham speaks five languages, which is essential as he supervises teams pitching to retail outlets throughout the Middle East and Africa. His biggest challenge? Staying connected in a rapidly evolving global economy.
“You need to know about different people, others ways of life,” he points out. “Their customs, their languages.”International Diversity at JWULuckily, Hicham says, our MBA program’s diverse student body prepared him for that kind of awareness early on in his career.
“Working with people with different nationalities at JWU, people with different backgrounds — being more open to the cultures and the differences — was a good start.”
