North Miami Community ImpactOur Campus
In 2009, JWU invested more than $2.3 million in construction and renovation at the North Miami Campus. That year, JWU directly or indirectly accounted for an estimated $63.4 million in economic activity and approximately 743 jobs in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. In 2010, JWU employed 233 people at the North Miami Campus, 83% of them full time. In 2009, the North Miami Campus spent about $15.5 million on purchases of goods and services.

Our Students
In 2010, enrollment grew from 2,098. In 2009, 85% of JWU students received institutional aid. Most students work part- or full-time to supplement their financial aid dollars.

In 2009, the combined student and visitor spending on local purchases of goods and services totaled $16.1 million — an increase of 20 percent from 2006 spending levels. It is estimated that this combined spending directly supported 200 full-time-equivalent (FTE) jobs.
