International Students

Dedicated to addressing the personal, immigration and educational needs of international and exchange students, International Student Services (ISS) provides a full range of essential services for the more than 1,000 international students currently attending the university.

ISS is a valuable resource for matters related to immigration, housing, employment, tax regulations, campus policies and cultural adaptation. In addition to serving as a liaison between students and federal regulatory agencies, our office helps them understand their rights and responsibilities in the U.S., maintain their lawful visa status in this country, and access the benefits permitted by their student visa.

If for some reason we are unable to assist in resolving a problem or issue, we can recommend services in other offices on campus or in the community that may provide solutions.

Our office also organizes cultural outings, trips and programs that complement classroom experiences and enrich students’ time at JWU.
