Residential Life

JWU’s Office of Residential Life is here to help you do more than just settle in. We have a whole range of programs and leadership opportunities designed to involve you in the campus experience from day one.
Our office manages the on-campus living experience for more than 3,700 students each year.
Each of our 11 residence hall properties is uniquely different, offering a range of living options including traditional halls, suites-style and apartment community living.
Located in the heart of Providence, the Downcity Campus houses students enrolled in the Business, Hospitality, and Technology programs. The Harborside Campus, which overlooks beautiful Narragansett Bay, primarily houses students enrolled in the College of Culinary Arts.
Whether you’re looking for a single or a suite, a social whirlwind or a close-knit atmosphere, there’s sure to be a hall to meet your needs. Most residence halls are centrally located. All rooms are equipped with cable and Internet access; laundry facilities are on-site.
With over 160 professional and student staff members, we offer a variety of services to resident students, including assistance with roommate and community living, locating campus resources, and much more.
If you need a particular type of housing accommodation, you must submit special needs or disability documentation to the Center for Academic Support.
